Peer Support 101: Promoting Recovery and Understanding the Benefits of Peer Support
Peer Support is a unique workforce that is proven to have a positive impact on the long term recovery of those we serve and the organizations we work in. Learn how the peer programs started and what lessons we learned from each other along the way.

We will break down the Peer Support training and Certification program and explain the different types of peers and the variety of roles they play in our communities.
There have been many changes over the years, but currently the Peer Support Programs in Washington are expanding in exciting ways, including the addition of SUD Peer Services and Foundation Community Supports. Hear about all of the recent changes that are helping build a strong recovery workforce and reduce stigma in our behavioral health, supportive housing, and supportive employment communities.

Could your organization benefit from adding Peer Support Services? Learn about the options for developing more services through a peer workforce. Dive into a conversation, ask questions, and join these amazing presenters as they share their rich stories and experienced perspectives as peers, trainers, providers, and community advocates for Peer Support.
